Doesn’t it feel good to peer a house where everything fits right into place? Here’s the feeling I got when first gazing the photos of this lvely-designed apartment located where else but in Gothenburg, Sweden. Much of the turn of the century charm is definitely preserved here inside the type of beautiful hardwood floors, profiled moldings, deep window niches and ceiling with stucco. But what really makes this 49 square meter crib (discovered on Alvhem) appealing is the abundance of color, the unexpected touches of green, blue, orange, yellow, green that you inevitably bump into in every direction.

From the doorway hall you are able to opt to go straight into the open kitchen and living area or turn left towards the comfy bedroom.  Large windows provide numerous natural light and the internal courtyard has a narrative to inform by itself. Having just over four square meters large, the south-facing balcony gives an additional dimension to the apartment. It’s here that the inhabitants can enjoy breakfast every summer morning, surrounded by the quiet atmosphere of the beautiful Swedish neighborhood of Linnéstaden.
  

Highly Creative Layout Defining Parksite Residence in Rotterdam

A design collaboration between Doepel Strijkers and LEX Architects caused the event of a contemporary residence in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Entitled Parksite, the dwelling is the results of converting a garage ambulance into contemporary living spaces. By shifting the rear wall with glass, an optimum indoor-outdoor connection was provided, ensuring unobstructed garden views from every room.

A dugout acts because the focus of the home, while generating height for a second level. The internal design features various interesting details: “Custom-made cupboard, kitchen and stairs finished in bright orange polyurethane, link the dugout to the doorway hall at streetlevel side and the lounge at the park side. Loose blocks at the staircase form informal chairs or function as tables. A polycarbonate light-box with integrated LED lights houses the bedrooms and spans the distance above the living-kitchen“.
