Extremely Modern And Daring Residential Project Incorporating Spider Web-Like Details

Undoubtably, the Hewlett Home is a kind of homes you can’t ignore. The project developed by MPR Design Group in Sydney, Australia is surprising, a bit eclectic, but very modern and provoking. The outside feels like an enormous rectangular glass gift box adorned with spider’s web details. The white finery makes it stand out. Imagine a standard tranquil neighbourhood, with neat little homes and out of the sudden, you stand in front of this edgy (from an architectural perspective) white box. What wouldn’t it be your first impression? “The home is located at the northern flank of the Bronte gully with views towards Bronte beach and the coastline beyond.” The view is stunning and the positioning, relaxing. Here’s the suitable place to live a contented life. Designing a house, less regular, sustainable, that favours coast views was a challenging thing to do. “The underlying design intent was to explore the notion of “prospect and refuge” within a modern family house. The ‘prospect’ was the beach and coast views to the south of the positioning which change constantly reckoning on the season, weather and time of day. The “refuge” was the opposite desirable character where we created a high quality of space that gives a feeling of sanctuary, enclosure and luxury.”
